COMMENTARY

One of the glaring weakness of the church today is Spiritual Growth. God has called His saints to be powerful, fearless, and to have a sound mind. Too often we are timid, weak, and woefully fearful. The Bible will have us to know that we are neglecting some of the Lord's most powerful resources such as the Word, prayer and fasting, and the reliance on the Holy Spirit. We reduce ourselves to what many writers call, "self-effort," going at it alone. The result is our inability to resist sin.

GOALS

1. To internalize God's word for daily strength, power, love, and a sound mind

2. To resist and combat sin at all levels, in all places, and at all times.

3. To involve oneself in active prayer and fasting on a continual basis.

4. To realize the Holy Spirit is there for our help, counseling, and a reminder of Godly reasoning.
