SETTING
Corinth was a major city and capital of Achala. In Paul's day it was a Roman Province. In today's world it is located in Northwest Greece. Corinth was known for its seaport and trading industry from many parts of the world. The city was known for worshipping false gods and all types of sexual sins. On one of Paul's missionary journeys (Actc 18), he established a church. Early on the church encountered problems.
I Corinthians details Paul's addressing four main problems. There is the added burden of a city that does not know or seek God. What can we learn from I Corinthians today?
